York Leisure Home is a HUD Apartment. HUD residents usually pay 30% of their gross income for rent. The rent amount, less approved HUD deductions such as medical and child care expenses, and other allowances, includes a utility allowance. HUD Residents also may choose to pay what is known as flat rent. The HACC works with applicants to determine which rent arrangement is best for them. York Leisure Home is a senior low income housing apartment subsidized by the federal governments HUD (Housing and Urban Development Division). The Food Bank of Lincoln will bring a mobile food distribution to York.
East Hill Church of Christ, 1122 N. Delaware from 12:00pm – 1:00pm on the first Friday of each month.
During COVID-19, food may be prepackaged, and drive-thru precautions may be taken to reduce contact.
Each site includes some USDA product, so participants must sign the standard income self-verification sheet, but no other documentation is required. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bags and cart.
