Four Corners Health Department COVID-19 Updates:  Latest Cases, Data, and Reporting 1 New Death

As of Friday, November 6, the Four Corners Risk Dial has moved to 3.0, which is squarely set between Orange and Red.  In the previous week, the setting was 2.63 in the Orange.  This represents an increased risk factor of 0.37.  At this time, Four Corners strongly urges our communities to Avoid the 3 C’s:  Crowded Places, Close Contact and Confined Spaces.  Remember to wash your hands often and wear a face mask that covers your nose and mouth.  Public health recommendations and the COVID-19 dashboard are posted on our website at

There have been 152 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the Four Corners District in the past 2 days (November 5-6):

  • Seward County had 75 new cases for a total of 821.
  • York County had 53 new cases for a total of 673.
  • Polk County had 13 new cases for 275 cases total.
  • Butler County added 11 new cases for 357 total cases.

The total cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in the Four Corners District is 2,126.  There have been 743 new cases in the past 14 days, with 460 of those cases recorded in the past 7 days.

Over the past 2 weeks (14 days), the totals for each county are as follows (these recent cases represent most of our active cases):

  • Butler County—99
  • Polk County—72
  • Seward County—348
  • York County–224

(The previous press release from 10/30 contained several errors related to the deaths, so please note the following corrected numbers.) Four Corners reports 1 new COVID-19 related death as of Friday (11/6/2020):

  • A York County man in his 50’s, who was under medical care.

This brings the total COVID-19 related deaths in the district to 19.  Polk County has had 10, Seward County 3, Butler County 3 and York County increases to 3.
