Suicide Bereavement Support Group Facilitator Training
December 1 & 2, 2023 in Omaha, NE
The AFSP Facilitator Training Program offers suicide prevention organizers a way to create and facilitate a community support group for suicide loss survivors in the aftermath of a suicide. This course is offered as a 2-day training of up to 36 attendees, and includes lecture, interactive discussion, and role-playing. This training is led by experts in the field of suicide bereavement.
Suggested participants:
Mental health professional and suicide loss survivors interested in starting a support group or wanting to update skills.
Must be 2 years out from a loss to attend – exceptions made only to those already facilitating a group.
Attendance on both days is mandatory.
