Hello,
We all have roles to play in preventing impaired driving. A key component states can employ is utilizing compliance-based removal of ignition interlock devices and other key best practices to reduce recidivism and to save lives.
Along with Responsibility.org and the National Alliance to Stop Impaired Driving (NASID), examine the recently released study, Impact of Compliance-Based Removal Laws on Alcohol-Impaired Driving Recidivism, sponsored by Intoxalock, conducted by Tara Casanova Powell and Dr. Ryan C. Smith for the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) and the 2023 updated Ignition Interlock Program Best Practices Guide created by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) Ignition Interlock Program Best Practices Working Group.
Panelists will explore lessons learned from state ignition interlock data and how to maximize this resource.
Who should attend?
Policy makers, traffic safety practitioners, ignition interlock program administrators, law enforcement personnel, prosecutors, judges, probation and community supervision professionals, treatment and safety advocates, and all others interested in learning more about ignition interlock devices.
