Community Health Day – Seward
A Community Health Day will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward on Wednesday, June 28th.
- Children 0-18 can receive FREE oral health screenings, fluoride treatment, and sealants. Every child will receive a goodie bag with a new toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and timer.
- Sign up for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
- Get your blood pressure checked and learn tips to help you keep it under control.
- Learn about car seats for kids 8 and under. We are hoping to have someone available to help with installation – more info soon.
- Learn about Stephen Ministry – how to respond to people experiencing difficult times in their lives.
- Find out about helpful resources in and around the community.
- Check out a presentation on many topics (schedule coming soon). Some topics may include:
- Older drivers (make a plan for when you can’t drive anymore)
- Naloxone (Narcan) Training – how to recognize and respond to an overdose, and how to get Naloxone to be ready for it.
- Living Well With Chronic Disease
- Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)
- Stepping On
- Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention Training
