Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challanges among adults.
You’ll build skills and confidence you need to reach out and provide initial support to those who are struggling. You’ll also learn how to help connect them to appropriate support.
After the course, you’ll be able to:
- Recognize signs and symptoms of mental health challanges.
- Recognize common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges.
- Understand how to interact with a person in crisis.
- Know how to connect a person with help.
- Use self-care tools and techniques.
You will be on your own for lunch. Feel free to bring something, or there are a variety of restaurants and grocery stores available 1-3 miles of the workshop location. Materials and training are provided by Region V Systems.
This training is blended. Prior to the training on November 9th, there is a small amount of pre-work that will need to be done. You will receive this information sometime after registration.
Registration required. Register here.
