Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention Training

Connect via Zoom to learn 3 simple steps to save a life!  There is no cost for this training.

Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.  Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying “Yes” to saving the life of a friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor.

A virtual workshop is planned for May 19th from 12:00-1:30pm.  Contact Angel at (402) 362-2621 or info@fourcorners.ne.gov to register.

Learn to W.R.A.P.!

Wellness Recovery Action Planning (W.R.A.P.) is a power set of tools to help us learn to care for ourselves and others.  An 8-hour workshop won’t take care of all that we need, but it can be a huge step in the right direction.  Those who attend a W.R.A.P. training learn what wellness looks like for them.  It helps people use mental health concepts to work towards a personalized wellness plan to manage life’s daily challenges.  You can use these tools for a lifetime!

This training has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services as an evidence based practiced. It has been shown to make a positive difference in the lives of those who create a WRAP. You can learn more about WRAP here: https://copelandcenter.com/wellness-recovery-action-plan-wrap

Four Corners and Region V Systems are hosting a FREE W.R.A.P. training, with materials provided.  This event will be held on Wednesday, June 29th from 8am – 5pm at the Butler County Health Care Center in David City.  Registration is required.

For more information or to register for the training, please call Four Corners Health Department at 402-362-2621 or email info@fourcorners.ne.gov.
