Improving Skills for the Unique Needs of Children Webinar Series
We are hosting another series of webinars on how to help people who work with youth build skills. These webinars build on the parenting webinars that were hosted in Spring of 2023.
If you work with youth who may experience Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism, or Depression/Anxiety, you will learn from these webinars!

Adult Mental Health First Aid

Adult Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults.
You’ll build skills and confidence you need to reach out and provide initial support to those who are struggling. You’ll also learn how to help connect them to appropriate support.
After the course, you’ll be able to:
- Recognize signs and symptoms of mental health challenges.
- Recognize common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges.
- Understand how to interact with a person in crisis.
- Know how to connect a person with help.
- Use self-care tools and techniques.
You will be on your own for lunch. Feel free to bring something, or there are a variety of restaurants and grocery stores available 1-3 miles of the workshop location. Materials and training are provided by Region V Systems.
This training is blended. Prior to the training on November 9th, there is a small amount of pre-work that will need to be done. You will receive this information sometime after registration.
