April 16, 2021—Four Corners Health Department COVID-19 Weekly Update; Confirming Another Death
On Friday, April 16, the Four Corners Risk Dial was reset and sits at 1.68 for the upcoming week. With a slight increase from the prior week’s 1.52, the dial is set in the Yellow: Moderate COVID-19 Risk Level. Another death has been confirmed as COVID-19 related: a Seward County man in his 80’s, who had been hospitalized. The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the Four Corners District is now at 75. Seward County increases to 32; Polk County is at 18; York County 13; Butler County 12.
In the past 2 days (April 15-16), there were 14 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the District:
- Seward County had 11 new cases to reach 1,971 cases total.
- York County had 1 new case for 1,717 total cases.
- Butler County had 1 new case for 853 total.
- Polk County added 1 new case for 584 total cases.
As of April 16, the total cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in the Four Corners District is 5,125. There were 61 new cases in the previous 14 days, with 41 of those cases recorded in the past 7 days.
Over the prior 7 days (April 10 – 16), the totals for each county are as follows:

All Four Corners residents age 18+ are eligible for COVID-19 vaccination at the District’s designated vaccination sites. Appointments to schedule a vaccine locally are being added each week on the state’s vaccine registration system at vaccinate.ne.gov . After registering on the site, it is important to check your email often because your invitation to schedule a vaccine will be sent to you over email.
